Paul is one of the fiercest competitors in the NBA. Dude is intense on the court. I find questioning his desire to win a bit confusing.

I bet he just hadn't thought it through to every last detail. News had just broke. How many players know every team's roster/salary/cap space/draft pick situations without studying?

He may not have realized then that the Knicks don't have enough cap space to get him and still sign other good players, nor does he know the Knicks gave away so many of their picks.

I think he just assumed that the Knicks could put together a two year plan to remake the roster. He likely now knows that there isn't any way for the Knicks to do it.

I'm sure that's the case, but his remarks did leave some doubt.

Well, you didn't actually give an opinion. As usual, you gave on or two observations and then, when people tried to guess the point you were making from the observations, you basically said "All I said was X and Y :dunno: "

Why am I so in your heads (collectively?).

A throw-away comment based in simple logic becomes a reason to derail a thread, and then you start spouting nonsense about oil spills.

I'll gladly take this up on PM if you want to, but I already explained it in this thread.

Odd that a poster would be requesting mods to keep things on topic. :)

I can't stop thinking about you. Do you mind if I lurk in your bushes and take photographs of you? Would that be odd?

We were wondering what you meant. I think that's fair. One day, you may even tell us.

It's upside-down day. And unless you were off-topic, asking what you meant isn't off-topic. :)

I already told you. You replied with some nonsense about oil spills and soccer.

Nah. You said "I can only form my opinion from media reports. Last week, Paul, this week, Matthews/Farmar." That's not a point....as I said, they're merely observations. You need to actually link them together with a point. I remain ever-hopeful.

What is wrong with making an observation?

"Keep the faith!" was an opinion, wasn't it? Same with "Rise with us!". Help me out here.

I don't really understand PapaG's complaint. He said we went from Chris Paul to Wesley Matthews as the big Blazer stories, yet here we are, a week later, and the big story seems to be... Chris Paul still. But, it's PapaG. Too bad the ignore feature doesn't carry over when someone changes their screen name because he's afraid some loser in Beaverton is going to hack his computer. Ah PapaG. What a fucking tread.

Nothing. You just said you had an opinion and that it was obvious. Now you agree you only gave a couple of observations. The opinion on those observations was missing.

Actually, they're both exhortations. You could try to infer opinions from them, but they're not actual opinions themselves. It's a tricky business, apparently.

I guess if you feel me (and Ed) waiting for you to render your opinion vis a vis Paul and Matthews/Farmar is derailing the thread, we can drop it.

Seriously? Where does it say each post must include an overt opinion in the TOS?
