Now Ford said Wade called the meeting!

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5348670

Wade requested a second meeting with Bulls shortly after the 2006 NBA Finals MVP spent more than two hours getting wooed by the New York Knicks at a downtown Chicago hotel Friday morning. The source stressed that Wade needed the meeting to clarify issues around signing with the Bulls.

If Wade were to agree to join the Bulls, it could clear the way for fellow free-agent superstars Chris Bosh or LeBron James to join Wade in Chicago.

Wade had dinner with Bosh in Chicago on Thursday night and according to the source, one topic of discussion was the advantages of playing with the Bulls versus the Heat.

The source said Wade is unclear how the Heat, who currently have just two players under contract, will be able to build a championship contender around him given salary cap constraints. While the Heat have the money to bring in one more max player (and possibly a second if they do a sign-and-trade), the team will have to fill the rest of the roster with minimum salary players. The Bulls on the other hand, already have several key players including Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah in place. If the Bulls can work out a deal to ship Luol Deng's contract out of town, they would have the funds to add James or Bosh to the puzzle too.

The Bulls have already met with Bosh and are scheduled to meet with James on Saturday in Ohio.

Wade mas multiple ties to Chicago -- a home and family, including his mother, and a pastor who has a church that her son purchased for her in the city -- but has said repeatedly he would like to stay with the Miami Heat. However, he did structure his last contract for the opportunity to become a free agent for the first time.

LeBron arguably can play every position if needed. Man is a beast.

Maybe Bosh's "Someone's missing" tweet from yesterday meant something else. CB and Wade were in Chicago after all.

We took it to mean the wrong team!

Bosh and Wade both hinted yesterday its not what it seems. Even earlier today Wade teased on his twitter about starting a web site "What they do not know."

    KC:

Don't see LBJ/Wade/Bosh coming to Bulls even w/ S&T for 1 unless Bulls move Deng. No way 1 of those 3 takes less than max when other 2 do.

    Well, ya! He is right.

wojo said the Bulls have an a trade on the table involving Deng now.

Strong sources tell me Chicago Bulls have definitely not given LeBron an ultimatum that he must give them an answer tomorrow.

    Good!

That rumor has been going around on the Bulls forums across the internet all day. Even been mentioned on ESPN

    "Unless Bulls move Deng?"

Wasn't that a given in all of these scenarios anyway?

It is exciting to be a Bulls fan right now, but then again you have to think if any of this is just a ruse seeing that there are so many rumors going around. But I guess it is safe to assume we're gonna end up with SOMEONE whos an impact

I especially think we're landing someone if we're trading deng. Even if its for a "serviceable" center. There would be no point of clearing more cap room if we didnt have a commitment to land someone cuz that would be gutting the team like the knicks have done.

He'll have to wait for that. The Lebron James Bulls jersey is ready to go.

What about this, this is wade under cutting James before the Bulls talk to him. He wants to win as badly as James. He knows if James signs with the Bulls and we get Boozer or Bosh...its over for Wade. Amare is leaning towards the Knicks. Wade knows he will never get out of the east again if that happens. So he wants in.

Whats so shocking about all of this is the fact that wade has been recruiting for the Heat for a while now, yet it looks like it didnt work.

Wats funny is if the reports are true about Wade saying he doesnt think the Heat can create a championship contender with the team they have, then he becomes this years Boozer (backing out on his word) because the Heat dismantled the roster for HIM. To bring in another All-Star/Future HOF to play with HIM.

Wow Wade-LeBron is deadly if the Bulls can pull it off. This will be great for the league if they can pair these two. I think Wade said he'd take less money if he got better players around him.

The Heat might be able to challenge the 76ers for worst record ever and Nets for lowest attendance if they lose Wade and can't get either LeBron or Bosh.
