I have no idea what he's doing this second, why would you assume I knew that? I do know he's rehabbing all summer in both Portland and Indianapolis with Jay Jensen, Bobby Medina, and Bill Bayno and he's scheduled to start running soon. The plan is to have him 100 percent for training camp. So I don't really see where he can take a few weeks off and go watch summer league. I really don't understand your question. Was that suppose to be zinger? Are you attempting to own me?

This simply says a lot about Durant. He's awesome. He's a hoop junkie. You want that from your players if at all possible (see Kobe/Jordan). I think the OP's point is that it would be nice if Oden was as much of a hoop die hard. However, not many players in the league love hoops so much that they desire to sit through summer league games. Can't fault Oden for not attending (assuming he isn't there when the Blazers kick off summer league).

I do wish Oden came across more passionate about the game. I can't necessarily say he isn't passionate about it, but my gut tells me he just doesn't like hoops that much. Again, I think that's the OP's point. I think some of you are taking this thread topic to literally.

That's fair. But I'd say it takes more passion and effort to rehab from major knee surgery (again) than it does to go to orlando and watch basketball.

There's no use fretting about it--OKC's just better than us in nearly every aspect:

    Durant>Roy (obviously)
Westbrook>Miller (better shooter, scorer, passer, and rebounder, and 12 years younger)
Sefalosha>Batum (unless Batum works really hard to reach Thabo's level)
Green>Aldridge (since LMA is soft and overpaid)
Ibaka>Oden (only one can actually stay on the court)
    Brooks>McMillan (check the hardware)
    Presti>_________ (goes without saying)
Bennett>Allen (because PA has become Dan Snyder/Al Davis)

You know, I don't even know why our guys are even planning on taking the court next year. It's not even worth the effort.

If I remember right he was at the playoffs, at least home ones, he just stayed in the locker room because it hurt to keep his knee bent sitting with the team.

Well, considering basketball is a team game, what really matters is which team is better. Not these position by position comparisons.

Both teams had the same record (50-32), however; take into account that the Blazers missed 311 regular season games to injury.

The Blazers also won the season series 3-1.

So, as it stands the Portland Trailblazers > the Oklahoma City Thunder.

And I'm sure our record would be EVEN better despite the injuries if Brandon Roy was given 10+ Free Throws a game. :p

Stop using facts and statistics to your advantage. It's not fair.

I have a completely different take on the issue.

Durant attending summer league means he thinks summer league is relevant, which means he thinks his team sucks and he wants to watch how his team is progressing.

    Larry Miller? FUCKING LARRY MILLER?!

I did NOT watch my buddies die face down in the mud in Viet fucking nam in order to watch you take two consecutive three day weekends before you sign a fucking GM for this god damn team I love so much!

Walter, man...this thread has nothing to do with Vietnam man or Larry Miller!

Actually, I was the one who called out Oden, on this board, for staying at his mother's house and paying no attention to basketball or Blazer scores, even during the fight to make the playoffs. A few days later, Quick wrote an article about what Oden was doing. The guy stalks me like a hawk.

His agent read Quick's article and did damage control. For the first time since his injury he showed up. This, after saying on the radio that his only contact was if a friend happened to tell him a score.
