Vinny Del Negro is the greatest midrange shooter in the history of the NBA- Bill Walton when he was a Clippers color man
He had some issues with having a timeout left at the end of games for last shots, but his first season with the Bulls when he had the kind of talent the Clips have, they were and uptempo team, fun to watch, and finished the season 12-4 (15-8 if you go back that far) to make the playoffs.
Former McMillan assistant Dwane Casey keeps losing out on these jobs because he's too polished--the shiny suit, the standing straight up like a robot. He looks like he's Best Man at a wedding when he goes to interviews. Vinny probably got the job because he came across as a natural, casual guy compared to Casey.
Del Negro got the job because Sterling forgot that he already fired Dunleavy, he was hoping Del Negro would choke him.
Vinny Del Negro has a better winning % than Nate has in Portland. Since Nate seems to be one of the best young coaches in the league, maybe Vinny isn't that bad?
Mr. SportsTwo your avatar is so fitting. Mr. Cynical should be the caption though Back OnTopic, I forgot who it was on this board who proposed the idea of scrapping a few franchises to up the competition, I would have to agree the Clips are looking pretty worthless here
