I thought management in New Orleans made it clear that they are gonna keep Paul, no? I keep seeing all these CP3 assumptions and im pretty sure they're not happening...

I would generally consider midrange outside of 10 feet, and below the 3 point line. Deng shoots 40% from there. When is 40% shooting considered very good, not on 3s?? He averages almost half of his attempts between 16-23 feet. Generally considered a poor shot, and shoots 40% from there.

Look, I'd be happy to acquire Deng. I'm not going to make stuff up about him to justify it. I don't think I'd consider a 40% shooter good. Maybe that's just me.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: getting Deng doesn't mean getting rid of Batum. Look at LA: they have Bynum, Gasol... and Odom. Deng is a very good rebounder and has played 4 in certain lineups (and may even be better suited there).

Think of Deng as Outlaw, only with defense and a higher bball IQ.

Deng for sixth man of the year!

A few media outlets in Chicago have picked up this rumor -- "unconfirmed source" ie Oregon-Live cluster fuck of a forum.

I had that thought as well. However, he only compares to Outlaw in that he would be first off the bench. He has virtually no 3 ball (Travis was ok) and he certainly doesn't have T-laws ability to get a shot off or clutch factor.

He's really the anti-Outlaw. High BBIQ, good rebounder, good defender, Terrible long range shooter.

You're right. Let it bake. This team as is has shown it will dominate the league. No need to add a guy who can't play.

Thank you!!! How many wasted post are about getting Chris Paul in a trade. Folks, we tried, almost pulled it off, but didn't. We don't even have a damn GM and guys are still posting this crap with rumors, links or anything to verify the trade is still on the table. I'm sure KP left a elaborate blue print to get Paul that he didn't use.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I don't think Paul will get traded, but I also don't think New Orleans' management denials mean anything. Whether or not they were willing to trade him, I'd expect them to say that they didn't want to. Why take any grief at all from their fans even a moment before they have to? And if they don't end up trading Paul after all, they'd get bad publicity with the people they want to sell tickets to for absolutely nothing. Their best play is to firmly deny any chance of dealing Paul regardless of what they'd like to do. If they do trade Paul, they can deal with the fall-out at that point.

Any trade that will cut into Nic's minutes, no thanks. Unless it sets up a huge blockbuster.

I disagree. Rip's whole game is to play off the ball, and that is exactly what we need.
