In other news, the Cavs are trying to get Flynn. He is represented by the same people that represent Lebron. Supposedly he has said he would like to play with him. I have now decided this whole Lebron to Miami thing is BS, and he and his people were just trying to gague reaction.....which has not been possitive
Let's get this straight people. Does anybody think that trading pieces with a 15 win team is a good idea? At what point in your mind does it click that maybe swapping half of a team with a 15 win squad isn't a good idea? There is a reason they sucked. You don't trade half of your team for half of their team and expect it to turn out well.
Getting two of their best players for one starter and spare parts... that's not like we're changing the top half of our roster for the top half of THEIR roster. I think that this is another case of Batum-envy around the league, rather than Nic actually being shopped. Personally? I really like Nic, but I could be convinced this is a good deal if we can figure out what we're going to do at the 3 spot AND the team likes Flynn, our team would be better positioned moving into the future. Love will probably end up being a better player than Aldridge--he's three years younger and is already out-producing him--but could come off the bench for a year or two until it makes sense to move him or LaMarcus. Flynn was underwhelming as a rookie, but he's still only 21 years old and could easily emerge as a good starting PG. Is there a way for us to get Deng, too? Plugging him in for Batum while we shore up our bench with very good young players seems like it could work, but without Joel's contract I don't know if getting Deng is doable. Ed O.
Funny, I would have said the opposite. I would only want Love on the team if it could be guaranteed that he would have a healthy, foul-free Oden playing alongside him to cover for his defensive deficiencies. Offensively, I would think they would be fine.
BTW, I just got off the phone with Kevin Love's agent. (incidentally, whose firm also happens to represent Jerryd and Armon Johnson.) My company is in the process of using Kevin's name for some marketing materials in exchange for work done. Anywho, I'm hopeful that I can get some insights as we progress. Too early to pry at this point, though.
I should add that I have a bias against Kevin Love. That guys is a F***ing L*ker. I hate the Red & Blue as is my birthright.
Brewer got MIP votes. He's basically a backwards Webster...could always play some D, but had Andre MIller's outside game. That's changing.
Do you think he's well respected in Lake Oswego? I'm considering running a promotional ad for our business in The Review using his name/recommendation.
I do. I just have an unusual hatred for the L*kers. I think it comes from having to play our "home" games in the shadow of Ol' Joe.
I've had my doubts...considering him "dissing" an Oregon school for UCLA (although, he did make the right decision there.) Thanks.
