http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi...e_wants_to_sign_with_dallas_denver_or_boston/ wow... why didn't the lakers FO look up on this... JO off the bench would be great... we wouldn't need to resign DJ or powell.
Damn... if we were able to sign both blake and jo using the mle (each would get half) then sign tmac for the vet min out lineup would be stacked! Pipedream: Fisher/Blake Kobe/Tmac/Brown? Artest/Tmac Pau/Odom/JO Bynum/JO/Odom
But...he was the second option in Miami, he'd be 5th or 6th option for Boston, all he would need to do is come out and play hard 15 to 20 mins a night.
Well I wasn't talking about Boston, but yeah obviously his role will be decreased if you guys signed him. I'm just personally not too excited about a possible JO signing. I mean, if it happens, then great. If it doesn't, I wouldn't mind just having DJ back next year. If JO comes here he's going to play as much as DJ and JP played last year, which means he'll barely see the court. He'll want a bigger role on a team anyways.
Eh, I don't think it is Lamar @ the 4 because when he plays up to his capabilities, we're damn near unbeatable. The problem with Lamar is, he only plays good once every blue moon. With that said, I agree. I'd like another rotation big man. Having Odom - Gasol - Bynum as the main rotation for big men is cool, but I think a 4th capable rotation big would be nice.
Lamar is good against opposing 4's who play out on the perimeter (ie Frye, Shard), but he is terrible when he has to defend in the post against someone like KG, Big Baby or Amare. I agree we need another rotational big man to give us a productive 10-12 minutes. I'm still holding out hope for Kurt Thomas.
