Ben and Rasheed can D up well against him. The big factor for us will be Chauncey he is gonna scorch White Chocolate and get his team involved. McDyess needs a big series for us to pull it out I think. Pistons in 6 as I said before.</div>Alonzo is not as deadly on offense as he is on defense, he will really be key in guarding Rasheed. The Pistons backcourt might completely destroy us these games, Rip and Chauncey are one of the best backcourts in the league against one of the worst perimeter defensive teams. If the game turns into an offensive showdown the Heat will have the advantage there. The Heat really don't match well but if the Pistons don't play the lockdown D they played against Cleveland, i'm almost positive the Heat will take the series.

I think Miami is the team who should be worried. The pistons are playing better defense now than i have seen since the bad boys. They have hit all cylinders on the defensive end and when now we will have an easier time scoring. Mike Brown is a defensive genius and figured us out. The HEat are not as good of a defensive team as the Cavs were *IMO*. I see detroit having better players at 3 of the starting positions with Billups, Sheed and Prince. The Heat have Shaq who is better than Ben and WAde who is just barely over Rip. The Pistons do not have the same depth at the bench but what we do ahve is great Defenders on teh bench. Miami fans should watch out for Delfino, a guy who came into the league known more for scoring but is now a great defender. Then you ahve maybe the best one on one defender in Hunter. Delk gives us the scoring off the bench and Dyess would be a starter on any other team in the league. For the Heat you guys have to take advantage of Shaq and all his rest. If you stray away from shaq or he gets in foul trouble this will be an easy series. Wade must also be amazing. The heat have a better bench with Posey, Payton and Zo. I see the pistons winning the first 2 games at home then droping games 3 and 5 and win game 6 to take the series 4-2. But this will be a classic much like the one we saw in 04 against the Pacers. GO PISTONS!!!!! and may the best team win :happy0144:

Miami's going to need Shaq to stay out of foul trouble to have any decent change to contend with the Pistons. Antoine Walker will not decide this series for Miami, a lot of people are saying he's the x-factor, I think that's a total load of crap. He had some great games in that series with New Jersey but as history as all shown us, Antoine Walker is not consistent. If Miami infact does need and are anticpating Toine to step it up in this series, then they should be worried.

I am not that much worried about the Heat. i think and i am sure the Pistons will win this series in 5 games. The Heat are not playing since almost one week, and in my opinion that's not a good thing. Plus, Detroit has the HCA.

Mavs took spurs out and they hadn't played for a week...

I see this going 7 games, Heat have a more talented team that has looked well organized in the playoffs and not a jumbled mess people expected. Detroit on the other hand has not looked pretty in the past two series, seemingly getting lazy at times and out of sync. Detroit has homecourt advantage which helps and are still a good team, should be a good matchup, but not a quick series.

I hate how everyone is using this excuse that we've been out too long and we'll be rusty. No team will get that rusty, teams practice. If anything, the week off was benefit and good re-engergization for the team, especially Shaq.

The Heat are getting there points in the paint and are winning so far.Everyone has been contributing so far and that is going to be key if we want to win this game.I'll go ahead and say we win game 1, it's been a scoring game so far and the Pistons are not going to beat us by outscoring us.I don't get why people are saying we will lose the series just because we had rest. The Mavs had alot of rest before playing San Antonio and it didn't affect them whatsoever.Underrated, couldn't have asked for more.

What do you know, Miami Heat take game 1 from the Pistons at The Palace. The Heat shot 55% against Detroit's 36%, if the Pistons keep shooting like that it might be a sweep. As I said before, Detroit will not beat Miami by outscoring them especially when your struggling and shooting under 40%.Huge games by the bench players for the Heat.Gary with 14 points and the questionable Antoine Walker with 17 points. This guy has been playing really consistent and I'm just loving how hes playing right now, attacking the basket and shooting less 3's.Wade with foul trouble and sat out alot of the game but still got his points along with Shaq.So far I have been right on everything, bench and Antoine are the X-Factors.Just a stat for Piston fans, since 1990 teams who win game 1 of the CF have won 29 out of 32 times.

It's altright, after the 13-0 start I knew there was something Miami was doing that killed us. We had chances but we couldnt make shots.. overall we played Decent but we didnt deserve the win. Congrats Heat I expect this to be a loong series though.91-86 Final.

Beautiful win. The Pistons looked a little warn out from that long Cavs series and as I expected the Heat came out strong and energized. Everyone contributed and played well besides Haslem, but the most surprising had to be Payton. He came in gave us huge minutes while Wade was in foul trouble and kept the game in check. We also played solid defense throughout the night and we got a little help by the Pistons poor shooting. So far it still seems like we're the underdog according to many of you here, but I am very confident we will take it.

Lightsout,I\\\'m gonna be honest and say the Heat dont really have a shot. They won game one because the Pistons had a off shooting game, they shot 36 percent to the Heats 55.The pistons lost by only 5 points shooting 19 percent worse. Now thats horrible for the Heat, they should have blew the Pistons out with those shooting percentages, but they didnt because the pistons played strong D and forced 15 turnovers to the Pistons 6.Once the Pistons get there shots going, the Heat are gonna get blown out.Oh i also noticed they out rebounded to pistons by 10 boards,I say this should have been a 20 point game win for the Heat on how the Pistons were rebounding and shooting but the Heat have slippery hands and the Pistons have the best D in the game so they managed to make it a 5 point game on a bad shooting percentage and only 33 rebounds.Pistons will take game 2 by 15 points, because they\\\'re going to get it going and when that Happends the Heat cant really do anything.Unless they clear up there turnover problems,or else there gonna lose the series badly.

Lol if shaq beats the pistons ( which he will in 6 i'm sure of after last nights game ) then htey will lose easy to Mavs. I enjoyed the game last night.

If the Heat knock out the Pistons,Then that would be a huge upset because the Pistons are said vy many reporters, announcers,Bball writers that they\'re the best team in the NBA.So if the Heat make the finals against the Mavs or Suns then they\'re gonna most likely lose, but the Heat can beat the Suns in 6 games.

I know that the Pistons didnt capitalize on those two being on the bench, but Miami would had a wider lead if both were out there longer. As for Pistons missing shots, tell Billups to stop taking contested 3 pointers with 20 seconds on the shot clock.

Still a 36 shooting percentage to 55 and only having a 5 point lead is very bad. When teams shoot that much better then the other team, they ussaly have atleast a double digit lead. The Pistons will win game 2 by 10 points and are gonna win the series in 6 games.I\'m not going to let one game change my opnion, every single game is important here, but this is the Pistons they\'re known for making comebacks in the playoffs.They\'re the best team in the NBA and will destroy the Heat next game, you just wait and see.
