Well, OSU football players make it with sheep and Oaklandites loot, plunder and pillage. It's what this world has come to.
the police? law and order? respect for private businesses and individuals? otherwise they wouldn't riot. These people don't give a fuck about the cause. They just want free shit and to break stuff.
It's always good to make sure Black people aren't seen as individuals. It is also good to say they don't care, because surely people can never be sick and tired of being profiled and abused by other human beings.
I hadn't heard a lick about this story, so I went to look up some articles. Struck me as a bit odd that NPR's take on this was: from last week's SFGate.com:
Hmmmmmmmmmm.............. maybe. Maybe not. But then again, I'm more interested in needling an OSU fan than appeasing shop owners in Oakland.
The report was correct. The protests were angry but peaceful. The idiots were out of towners who come along for the ride on every protest as an excuse to act like assholes. Not that it takes much acting. BTW, most of them are white. The call themselves "anarchists" but they are not. Anarchism is a polltical philosophy. It is not about taking shoes from Foot Locker. These jerks know nothing about anarchist theory or history. They are just jerks. We don't want them in our city.
I would somewhat agree. It's not about a cause, it's about rioting to riot. I notice they aren't tearing down their houses or their businesses.
I love the logic . . . If a court ruling goes against you, turn your own neighborhood upside down. Same thing happened after the Rodney King verdict; the local people burned down local grocery stores, liquor stores, and shops, and then had to drive even farther to buy the things they needed. Not to mention the fact that they ruined their own streets and lowered their property values even more. Does it ever occur to these people to go into SOMEONE ELSE'S neighborhood and burn that down??
Not that facts ever deterrred Talkhard/Shooter, but that is exactly what did happen. People came to our city. I know he has me on permanent ignore, but could someone link him to actual Bay Area media? Not his blogs and talking points?
