The only thing I don't get is how you can root for JR to make profits while the fortunes of the team on the court aren't very good. He insults us all and laughs all the way to the bank for not trying to win basketball games because suckers like you buy his empty promises and ultimately his merchandise. It's pretty evident that you make excuses for the "no excuses" management at every turn, because the results aren't so good. The Bulls were incredibly fortunate to make the playoffs without BG, and only because Toronto wanted it a little less. Compare how last year's team did in the playoffs vs. the year before. With 4x guys who could put up 20 on a given night, they took the defending champions to OT in several games and to 7 games. Last year's team was blown out in dozens of games, lost 10 in a row, and didn't put up much of a fight in the 1st round playoff series. I never called BG a franchise level player - he was simply our leading scorer for 5 seasons in a row. That's not something many players on any team can say. You said it would be trivial to replace him and that's been the most foolish thing posted by anyone anywhere. We're still looking for someone to replace him, and we'd love to have him back. If I have a fault in believing the Pistons would have a better record, it was in not being able to see the future and how their best players would all suffer prolonged and nagging injuries.
