I haven't posted here in ages but I still leech the Lakers section.

I think Lebron made the best move, you guys are letting the hate cover the facts to his decision.

1). The Cleveland economy is not going to crumble now that Lebron has left. It’s not his responsibility to ensure the city of Cleveland is economically stable.

2). He moved to win a ring. Think about it, which team would give him the best chance of winning? With Wade and Bosh, it gives him the best chance to win a ring, if not now, then definitely in a couple of years.

3). He didn't move for money, if his only motivation was money, he would have gone to New York of Chicago.

4). He's done alot for the Cavs, the fans should show him more respect for what he has done for them.

5). The one hour special raised money for the "Boy's and Girls club" charity.

On a personal note, it makes the NBA more interesting now.

You people need to stop acting like bitches by calling him LeBitch etc...

    I'm out.

He threw his hometown and the city of Cleveland under the bus an deserted them.

But after looking at their salaries, I'm sort of leaning towards Thrilla's opinion. I do agree that Lebron is a douchebag, but do you guys know his salary next year is only 14 million? That's basically how much we'll be paying Bynum. Wade/Lebron/Bosh will both be making 14 million next year, which is a huge dropoff to the 20 million or so they could've received. I gained a little respect for him when I saw the actual contract numbers. He was willing to sacrafice money in order to have a better chance to win. How can you blame him for that? My only problem with him still, and will always be how he handled the situation, but you can't blame him for taking a paycut to win.

Kobe, on the other hand, took the highest deal he could and ran with it. Guys like Bosh, Wade, Lebron, Pierce, Dirk, and even our own Ron Artest took less for a better shot to win. Kobe didn't. We'll be paying him 30 million when he's like 35 or 36. For that, I've gained some respect for Lebron.
