Re: WEC 50: Cruz vs. Benavidez (Aug. 18th) Scott Jorgensen is by far one of my favorite fighters out there. To top it off, he's really chill to talk to and really down to earth.

Jorgensen/Pickett is a candidate for fight of the year, for sure. Garcia/Jung was great but also saw Garcia swinging at air for most of the fight. Jorgensen/Pickett was the more technical equivalent.
I saw a post on the UG saying 4/5 main card fights (not the Mendez one) could've been FOTN on any UFC card. Have to agree, great action. Mendez was disappointing. He dug his head into Swanson's chest and laid on him most of the fight.
Chad Mendes says plan worked at WEC 50, will expand game in time Undefeated WEC featherweight prospect Chad Mendes (8-0 MMA, 3-0 WEC) has no problem going to his bread and butter. Sure, the 25-year-old Team Alpha Male product is constantly adding skills to his arsenal, but a lifetime of wrestling competition has given him a go-to weapon that has proven capable of delivering victories in all eight of his professional contests. The little guys are so much more exciting to watch fight than the big dudes. The big dudes is where you'll get the awesome KO's, but these little guys usually have an endless gas tank and some awesome action. I love the WEC. War JORGENSEN!
