Strikeforce middleweight tournament scrapped, Jacare vs. Kennedy scheduled for title

    Since Jake Shields is on his way to the UFC like a jilted lover, Strikeforce had planned to hold a middlweight tournament for his vacant belt. This got fans excited about the prospect of seeing guys like Renaldo Souza and Cung Le fighting in a field of 8 or 16 fighters. However Cung Le let everyone know that he was "too old for this shit" and passed. Then Strikeforce had trouble getting other guys to be in it. Now, it seems, they are saying "fuck it" and just giving the title to whoever wins the upcoming bout between Renaldo "Jacare" Sousa and Tim Kennedy. Fail?

    That tourney could have breathed some life back into Strikeforce, epic fail on their part.
