The Nuggets continued their winning ways on Saturday with a 92-74 victory over the L.A. Lakers, but it came at a hefty cost.

Center Brian Butch is believed to have dislocated his left patella in the third quarter of the game, a scary scene that halted play for approximately 10 minutes near the end of the third quarter. Butch, who was signed by the team late last season, was wheeled off the court on a stretcher with his left leg in a brace and immediately taken to a local hospital to undergo further evaluation.

He was essentially the team’s only height. Now the Nuggets summer league team doesn’t have a player that stands taller than 6-8.
