Signing Allen would mean Memphis would completely severe ties with Ronnie Brewer, who it acquired from Utah for a protected 2011 first-round pick in February. Brewer wasn't extended a $3.7 million qualifying offer and became an unrestricted free agent.

Brewer apparently wasn't willing to commit to the Grizzlies' latest offer because of pending negotiations with Chicago and Utah.

Brewer would start at SF for us, if we dump Deng to the Blazers as rumored.

After looking at them, I think I'd offer more to Childress. I looked up his Greek stats and apparently he's gained a semblance of a 3 pointer

He shot 32%, which isn’t great, but isn’t terrible, and took 2.5 (Greek League) to 3 (Euroleague) a game.

I hadn’t been looking at him at all because I didn’t think he had any range, but if he can even passably shoot it makes him a substantially better option than Brewer. Back when he played for the Hawks he was a heck of a good defender. Put that together and he could be something close to what I'd envision from Iggy (well, maybe 70% of it).

Of course, it's probably too late now

Is the greek 3pt line further out than the FT line?

Brewer and Childress would be a great signings assuming Redick is matched.

It'll probably take $8-10 mil/year to get Childress.

I'm not sure the Jazz resign him either as I expect they wil match Wes Matthews and also have CJ Miles at the 2 and then have Kirilenko and Hayward at the 3

I think they need depth at the strong forward to pair with Millsap

If Chi puts its best put forward ..then with Boozer and Korver on board you'd have to think we're a good chance to land him

We certainly have a role here for him.
