Many teams are expressing interest in Adam Morrison. The Wizards are working him out this afternoon and the Bulls will see him tomorrow. Morrison was looking really good during the workout, Washington seems seriously interested. http://twitter.com/AlexKennedyNBA
Never underestimate the heart of a champion! (Or was that, never underestimate the mustache of champion?) Either way . . .
I was thinkin of adam. His career has really been plagued with injuries (before not playing any significant time for the champs). I was hopin someone would give him a chance. I wonder if he can still light it up?
I think Adam Morrison was the least productive player in the NBA of all the guys who played regular minutes his first two years in the league. What's more, I've heard he really doesn't like to work on his game much. How would he play over Korver? However, I would enjoy having a man with his facial hair on the team. He would be fun to root for.
Morrison was played out of position at SG as a rookie and looks to me like he lost all confidence in himself because he did poorly there. He reminds me of Danny Ferry to a degree. Ferry was highly touted when drafted, but disappointed. He developed into a serviceable player but never reached his potential...
I don't think PJax was going to mess with a championship team by using some untested (triangle, with the team) guy at SF over Artest.
According to 82games.com: Artest played 62% of LA's minutes at SF Bryant played 18% of LA's minutes at SF Odom played 6% of LA's minutes at SF Morrison played 5% of LA's minutes at SF Walton played 5% of LA's minutes at SF Brown played 3% of LA's minutes at SF So he seems to have played about as much as Walton for them.
Nonetheless, PJax played him. And if Walton were healthy, PJax would have played him because he was familiar with the system, etc., as I posted. IMO, anyway. But hey, I figure the Bulls ruined Stacey King's career because they simply couldn't play him enough (development) minutes because of who was ahead of him on the depth chart.
Your King theory makes about as much sense as your Morrison theory. I'm sure Morrison will be just as successful away from PJax as King was.
King got 21 MPG as a rookie and 17 MPG in the playoffs (we lost in the EVF/Pippen Migrane Episode). He played 76 games for us in the first championship season, 76 the following season, and 79 in the third of the first threepat. I don't think they lacked confidence in him, and ultimately he might have developed into one of the team's cornerstones if it weren't for Horace Grant being ahead of him. He was traded for Luc Longley, and then suffered an injury about 1/4th through his first season with Minnesota. He never seems to have recovered. His first games with Minny, he put up 12 points and 6 boards in 28 minutes/game. King was hyped to be in the top 3 picks of his draft. The Bulls were fortunate to have the 6th pick and that he was there to be picked. BPA and all that, but no position to play him at. He wasn't an NBA center, the Bulls needed a center to replace Cartwright, and they got Longley. Longley put up 7/5 in 18 MPG his first season with the Bulls. His best season with us was 11 points and 6 boards in 29 MPG.
Hahaha my friends dad said that Stacey King's career got ruined after he tried some shot that he used to do in college, and that shit got blocked. And since then he acted like he was scared to go in the hole and scared to play
What would those guys look like had they not been "ruined"? Perhaps they were right to lose confidence because they weren't, in fact, very capable players at the pro level.
Wasn't he rushed back onto the court after his injury, months ahead of schedule? That would be ruining him, considering the season he was having at the time of his injury.
