I'd love to see Batum tear apart Lebron James and Co... but since they all pulled out i'm interested in seeing who he is gonna beast it out against almost as much as I want to see the game.

Why didn't you announce this to us with a little film? Do you send out video Christmas cards? If anyone should be evolved beyond mere words, it's HCP.

They should just surrender now. After all, it is France.

I love that Meme. France is one of the most ass kicking countries of all time. They ONLY surrendered in WWII after being overrun by the Blitzkrieg of panzer tanks. I wonder how long the US would have held out if D.C. was completely over run with tanks?

You know Joan of Arc and Napoleon were both French. Fuck Napoleon damn near took over all of Europe (he got all the mainland) and if they hadn't got sucked into Russia he might have succeeded. Also Charlemagne was French. The 100 years war, the 30 years war? I mean the vast majority of history France kicked ass. LMAO. America is so myopic and acts like three wars in history ever happened: WWII, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War.

I want to see multiple blocks on Durant and total Pwnership of him! No 10 free throws mandatory in international rules Kevin.

Hey does anyone think KD's FT attempts will drop dramatically now that he extended in OKC and didn't flee to a major media market? I bet his FT attempts go down by a minimum of two per game. I think he was being groomed to be a Major Market superstar and now that he is in OKC through 2016 his shine will wane. His talent won't lessen, but I bet referee favoritism does!

    What say you folks?

I'm pumped to see them run the offense thru Nic! And on Durant, I think he will always get his, he's just one of those kinda players. That said, the Thunder had NO injuries last year and the chance is that catches up to them. I don't think they have as good a year.

That's ok because I am part french, so I can joke about it :)

A lot of folks forget about the french resistance too. They played a big part in ww2.

The French may have at one time been a military power, but not for 150 years.

Very true. They never really recovered from Waterloo. Still you have to ignore the prior 500+ years to call them pussies as is so often done. Also the US hasn't beaten anyone in a fair fight in going on 70 years. Been a lot of beatdown on 3rd rate opponents and an embarssing loss in a 3rd world country too.

On this topic, Portland does have the Joan of Arc turnaround on 39th and Glisan!

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Plus French naval might is one major factor that the US won their own revolutionary war with England. French ships both tied up the British navy in Europe, preventing them from deploying many of them to the US, and also held off British ships trying to reinforce Cornwallis in Yorktown allowing the American siege there to succeed. Cornwallis' surrender was the decisive blow.

To be fair, our goal is not to have it be a fair fight. And that one "embarrassing loss"? Caused by the French letting much of Indochina go Red.
