Remember a year ago? How we pined for Sessions? How we thought he was far beyond our reach? Then were surprised when Minny got him easily? And how crap he was there? Well, now supposedly Kaaaaahn, besides dumping Jefferson, is also set to dump Sessions on whomever will take him so that he can sign Ridnour (obviously he loves backup Bucks PGs) to the same contract. Which, supposedly, he's about to do.

So... I wonder where Sessions is headed.

Sessions and the triangle is like Peanut butter and pickles. I'm not surprised he struggled in Minny, he's not a shooter, he's best driving to the rim and kicking and did I mention he can't shoot?

I suppose it's faint praise, but he sucked way less than anyone else aside from Kevin Love according to http://www.82games.com/0910/0910MIN.HTM

I'm still intrigued by Sessions if he can be had relatively cheaply. As nik said, he's completely miscast for the triangle. If he could be had for something like Rudy and a second-round pick or something, I'd very much like that kind of deal. Letting Sessions, Bayless and Matthews vie for backcourt minutes behind Miller and Roy would be a nice situation.

Well I am intrigued by having 8 Pgs on the team.

At this point, I'd settle for having more than 1.

Unfortunately that wouldn't work under the CBA ... this would however.

That seems like a somewhat lateral move to me, but Ramon (like Bayless) can get to the line almost at will, but he actually has point guard instincts, and with Matthews soaking up most of the backup 2 minutes, and Eliot Williams behind him too, it would sort of balance out the roster a little bit.

I was surprised actually at how comparable Sessions and Bayless really are (minus the assist rate).

I think Minny would take that in a second. Regardless if Rudy helped them get Rubio, it would be a no lose situation for them. Although I see your logic as for balancing out the roster, that is too risky for me. I just don't konw enough about Sessions other than a few of you rave about him.

He's not a star, but he's a competent point, he can't shoot for shit from outside, but he gets to the line as well as Bayless, has god ball pressure on defense and is good on pick and rolls, frequently using a tear drop shot when he's in the lane. He's not the piece that puts us over the top, but he'd probably be an adequate replacement for Miller.

Frankly I'd be more interested in acquiring him to be a backup for now, and still look to make a big play for a star point (if possible).

Sounds like an Armon Johnson type.

Oddly enough Kevin Pelton's player comp tool rated Armon's closest NBA counterpart as Sessions. If the Blazers decide to keep Johnson he'd certainly be the cheaper option, though it's tough to say if he's likely to pan out or not.

This would be too cool. 3 guys from Univ. of Nevada on 1 NBA team. Just get Javale McGee to back up Oden and you'll have 4.

I don't think I'd deal Bayless for him. You're right that Fernandez and draft picks doesn't work...so I'm not sure what I'd be willing to give up that works by the CBA. It doesn't seem like any deal can be done, financially, without including Bayless.
