There have been multiple rumors that he's been offered in various trade scenarios.

Memphis already has a better SF than Deng and money bet on him (Rudy Gay).

Mayo's salary is on the order of $5.6M - we could absorb that much.

Memphis did draft Xavier Henry, who'd take his place if he were traded.

Not sure what the deal would be that would entice them to give him up to us.

He's a smaller, shittier Joe Johnson.

    Really, Denny?

Oj has said that hes in the summer league to work on his PG skills, he could get time as their starting pg. Now if you said Mike Conley, it woulda been more believable

I'm on board, but he has the type of contract that almost makes him untradeable, especially on a team like Memphis. The Bulls would have to take on a heap of additional bad salaries and I don't think they are structured to do that.

    How about 2?

OJ Mayo and Thabeet to the Warriors for Monta Ellis

OJ Mayo and Thabeet to NOH for Chris Paul

I think he meant since he is on a rookie deal, probably sells a decent amount of merchandise, and puts butts in the seats more than their other players, it's hard for Memphis to trade him. The only way they would is if the Bulls received a bunch of bad contracts too from Memphis

I meant the reverse -- that is was a good contract so Memphis is unlikely to deal him.
