I think ego will still play a role somewhat. James is taking over the team because realistically, the roster is no different if Wade/Bosh had joined Cleveland (if they had gutted their roster instead of Miami). They'll assume their roles and talent will win out. Defensively not much should change either. I expect him to carry the load further in years 2, 3, 4 etc. It was something I did not expect either. Congrats to him.
Lol you're the only guy in America thinking that LeBron is taking over the team. I find it hilarious that most analysts and fans realize it is Wade's team. You're stubborn. You're obviously a Taurus ;]
No I'm not you're just a bitter Laker fan. Various people in other forums think that. You just surround yourself with the stupid intangible crowd that doesn't like to support anything with numbers. Miami was Shaq's team in the mid 2000s when he was second in MVP voting, then he got outplayed. In 00-02 when Kobe was gagging in the Finals, for Shaq's standards, people would have looked at him different if he had 35 and 14. It's about future playoff and Finals MVPs, buddy. 2006 has nothing to do with 2011.
it's definitely not wade's team anymore. if nothing else, lebron's special where he picked his team should have put any of those questions to rest. they wouldn't have done that for any other player in the league. lebron is the best in the league and the heat are without question his team now. and even if you don't think so now, it will become very evident once games start being played.
Miami is Wade's team. LeBron has a chance to take that away, but I don't think he has it in him. He may be a great player, but that doesn't mean he has what it takes to be a leader. I think Bron will be the one to take on more of a playmaking role, while Wade will take the majority of the shots.
Well since he said he'll lead Miami to a second title, I'll definitely wait and see. Magic won MVPs in the playmaking role, even that doesn't assure anything against James. I think LeBron will be the more well rounded player like he always has been. And more healthy probably.
Well Kobe's never been as good as LeBron so I can see that. For him to be Jordan he'll have to keep playing at this level and winning. Years from now after all this is over, the requirements I mentioned are what will matter.
LeBron is more like Magic, Wade like Jordan. Put them both on the same team and it's kinda scary. LeBron is a great player no doubt, but it's too soon to say he isn't like Jordan or Kobe. Neither Jordan nor Kobe could have won all their championships without a great supporting cast. How can Jamison and Mo Williams compare to a Pippen, Kerr, Rodman, or Kukoc. or even Kobe's Gasol, Bynum, Artest, and Fisher. LeBron went so far with a shit squad, it's unfair to say he ain't Jordan or Kobe. Wait a couple more years.
Shouldn't you know more about basketball and the NBA before you can become a moderator of these forums lol!?? I am new here but seriously is this the kind of posters this forum has to offer lmao?
You definitely need to read more before assuming I haven't discussed this at length. Uh lol no my beliefs are virtually the same as basketball-reference, on this matter.
