Quentin Richardson has agreed in principle to a multi-year contract with the Orlando Magic, a league source tells Y! Sports.

It is unclear if signing Quentin Richardson means Orlando won't match JJ Redick offer sheet with Bulls, but certainly makes it less likely.

Some magic fans think this means Orlando wont pursue Matt Barnes

Gonna go out on a limb and say Redick is ours. Yay.

QRich is a much better player, but he's on the older side (29 going on 30). He'd be a good stopgap player while we search for a guy to fill the spot on a permanent basis.

I like what I saw of him last season in particular. He really showed a nice post up game against shorter players, and he's _ok_ at the 3 ball.

QRich isn't a better player. His numbers have been very mediocre. He only had one good year and that was six years ago. I was going to say he might have been a good fit, but he really hasn't done anything in a while. His numbers are actually worse than Hinrich's.

Orlando wants him over the guy we are likely to get (Redick). Go figure. We're the 41 team and they're the 60 win team. Maybe that's a clue.

And maybe the fact that they are $20 million over the luxury tax and for a backup shooting guard, Q costs them ~$6mil next year and Redick will cost them $14 mil, probably all due in October has something to do with it.

Hollinger says that QRich is the Barnes replacement, not the Redick replacement. Said Barnes turned down the deal that QRich took. Expects Magic to sign redick.

I say that we should be talking to Barnes.

Don't know what Barnes is thinking. I don't see where he's going to get more than that anywhere good. Barnes isn't a starting 2 either. And Hollinger has been wrong about these things before.
