Patty Mills has some of the most impressive plays, and then some of the dumbest. Gahh

Damnit, I wanted to see if Babbitt has the hops to dunk.

It probably wasn't a great idea by Mills to use Sergio as a model on how to play NateBall.

Blowout. Lets have this team play in the regular season, they know how to put opponents away!

I would have liked to see how Mills and Armon stack up against Collison, but oh well.

This game didn't answer any of the PG questions; just confirmed what is already known.

Mills is better on offense, Johnson is better on defence.

It's going to come down to what Nate puts more emphasis on.

My money would be on Johnson at this stage.

Is he? If you ask me, Johnson is much more controlled on offense. Know when to take shots, when to pass, etc.

Mills might be a better pure scorer, but I'm not sure he's a better offensive player as far as being a PG is concerned, especially playing under Nate.

I think Armon is more of a Nate type guy personally.

Well I agree with the second part. But there's more to offense than shooting. Personally I'm more comfortable so far with Johnson running the offense. he's clearly ahead in my book so far.

and we know what Nate emphasizes, the only question is how much his opinion matters when it comes to personnel decisions.

It might not matter who Nate likes if Paul is still enamored with Mills.

Armon looked good on both ends. Made a couple bad decisions and that has been knock on him but I'm sure Nate will help in that regard. Just very clever with the ball. Nothing is flashy, nothing is forced. Wish he had more range on jumper but he has pretty solid mechanics.

Babbitt is obviously much more comfortable when he's either in the post or iso'd at the elbow like he was used at Nevada but I think that skill set fits the current roster coming off the bench. He really needs to drop that set shot though if he wants become a proficient 3pt shooter in the NBA. He gets no legs in that shot and he's shown he can elevate on his jumper and he's shot a much better percentage when he has. His defense actually isn't half bad either considering how little he defended on the perimeter in college.

Coleman was also lighting patty up until they put armon onto coleman and he shut him down. Johnson reminds me of a better chancey billups when he came into the league. Armon shot looks better than bayless and he has a nice wing span. If armon can lean to shoot the three he would be perfect. Seems like he has no problem sliding over to the two. Patty seems too out of control for me even. We already know who nate wants its up to paul! Armon also has a nice nba body. Looks like the best pick so far. Babbit will take a minute to learn that three point shot. We are yet to hear much about williams?

Ben from Blazersedge.com in his media row report: http://www.blazersedge.com/2010/7/13/1568713/summer-league-media-row-report

A pretty spot on analysis in my opinion.

Dub, I think Patty is too good to miss out on the NBA. Other teams are watching and I think one will bring him to camp and he'll make the team, this coming season. He's noticed, too good to miss. Fighting his 6-0 height on defense is his permanent problem. His temporary problem, easily solved, is learning to decrease the risky passes.

Babbitt sucked. Maybe he still felt pain? He missed yesterday's practice. He was more aggressive in Game 1.

Johnson is a McMillan clone except he's a better shooter. Anyone's a better shooter than McMillan was.

Pendergraph continues to survive only by getting fouls. Cunningham is smooth but didn't produce for all the time he was given, same as Game 1.

After his stupendous Game 1, Ibekwe was slowed by 3 early fouls. Maybe they told him to prove himself on defense.

As I said in the Game 1 thread, Reyshawn Terry is a sleeper, doing better than I expected. He has the good North Carolina coaching. Watch his subtlety next game. He's quietly producing.

Armon has awesome instincts on the defensive end. I've also been impressed with his court vision.
