It's not as close/easy as it looks where you can just say "easily LeBron." Because Paul carried that team as a rookie with basically no help, almost made the playoffs (or at least until the final 2 weeks of the year), with pretty much less help than LeBron had, and in the West. It's tough for me to answer this because to me, after each of their rookie seasons, I could say "This kid is gunna be a superstar. Plain and simple." Both of them. Sure LeBron is on top right now, but this is rookie year. I can't choose. It's pretty damn close. But, if I had a gun to my head and someone said I had to choose, I would probably go with Chris Paul actually. Based on the players each had around them. I mean LeBron had an All-Star center in Big Z, a rising star/double-double every night guy in Boozer, Darius Miles, and even a good offensive player in Ricky Davis for half the year. CP3 had what? David West, Desmond Mason, and PJ Brown? Plus the East-West difference is pretty big, especially in 03.Do I think Paul will be as good as LeBron when it's all said and done? No (but will be a superstar as well). But based on the team, the guys he was put around, and how well he did in the best division in the NBA, I would say Paul gets the slight nod.
