Now that Kyle Korver is a member of the Bulls, he's doing a little free-agent recruiting of former Utah teammate Ronnie Brewer. As he explained in his introductory press conference, Carlos Boozer reached out to him about joining the Bulls. And now he's doing the same for Brewer. "[Boozer] reached out to me and we talked about it for sure," Korver said during his introductory press conference, according to Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago. "And I was texting Ronnie Brewer earlier, so we're trying to start the Chicago Jazz here. I don't know if you knew that." Though Korver obviously doesn't have the final say on player personnel, Boozer did have an influence on Korver coming to Chicago, so it couldn't hurt if the Bulls indeed are interested in Brewer. Yet, don't expect the Bulls to pursue Brewer unless their offer sheet to J.J. Redick is matched by Orlando. If that's the case, the Bulls will likely then target another shooter, and Brewer could be in the mix, along with Roger Mason, a named that popped up previously in free agency for the Bulls. I joked with Denny Crane about the Bulls sort of being similar to the Jazz, and it looks more right every day
I don't think they are bringing back Miller, so I don't think the white quotient gets any higher than last year.
Brewer at least has been a starting SG for a quality team, and he can give us backup SF minutes, too. However, he's absolutely missing one key thing we need in a SG - ability to keep teams honest by being a 3pt threat.
