The Hawks have no plans to sign free-agent center Shaquille O'Neal.

A source says Atlanta's ownership doesn't want to exceed the luxury-tax threshold of $70.307 million. They are currently about $4 million shy.

The Hawks still need to fill their roster with three players.

There was a report of a possible sign-and-trade with O'Neal for Marvin Williams, but a source shot down the idea.

Cmon Shaq you oversized bastard come back to the Lakers and end your career as a champion. (For the love of God don't go to Boston, or else you won't get your jersey retired.)

I'm glad Shaq won't go to Atlanta because he is not a good fit. They're basically in rebuilding mode at this point with a new coach and no big man to help out Horford yet. More than likely he will end up in Dallas so that he and Brendan Haywood can match up against Gasol and Bynum of the Lakers.

Shaq and Kobe would definitely not work because they are better off at opponents with Shaq dissing him and their past.
