Yes, a 2 year deal is perfect. I wish that's all they gave Pierce.

    Exactly, 2 yrs is great.

here's what Marc J. Spears said on twitter:

Ray Allen gets 2year, $10 mill deal to return to Celtics, yahoo! Has learned. Second year allen's option.

Celts 2-yr deal with Ray Allen for $20 million (2nd year player opt) coming soon. Allen has always said he wanted to stay a C. No MIA, CHI

Ray Allen tells Y! on return to Celtics: "I'm excited to be returning as a Celtic. There's nowhere else I would rather be."

Adrian Wojnarowski said this for J O'Neal

Jermaine O'Neal is leaning toward signing with Boston, but still considering Denver, league sources tell Y! Decision will come soon.

hey if we don't believe in it, then might as well not even watch any games and just crown Miami the champions right now.

It's going to take them a year to get used to playing with each other, they're just getting in their primes right now. (unlike our big three who were coming down when they came to Boston)

I really believe we're going to have a chance against them just for this season with the defense we play, and so will LA, from then on it'll be strictly Miami contending for championships.

Lakers have another 2 maybe 3 years, then it's downhill, no more finals appearances for another 10 or 15 years. (no phil, kobe is done, etc)

Portland and Oklahoma will dominate the West.

^ Portland and OKC won't do anything until they find lowpost scorers.

As for the Lakers I think their window depends on Andrew Bynum's devolpment. If he can stay healthy and finally be the all star then our window will be open longer.

He has to become best center in the league and be able to play 80+ games every season for the window to remain open. (he's shown every season he's injured though which sucks for LA)

Biggest loss will be Phil and Kobe going towards the end of his career. Granted he has another 5 years where he can really impact the game IMO.

^ Well I don't think Bynum has to be the best center in the league, but he has to be right there with the Dwight Howard, like right behind him. It sucks to have to depend on an injury prone player but that's the way it is. If he can stay healthy our window will remain open for a while if not it won't be more than a 3 or 4 year window.

Bynum is good, but he is not that close to Dwight in terms of overall ability. Dwight dominates the paint all by himself, Bynum benefits from playing with such a skilled big man, Pau Gasol.

^ Bynum is a way better offensively than nHoward, he just has to improve his rebounding which I think he will do with experience. Let's no forget this kid is only like 22 years old. Bynum doesn't benefit from playing with Gasol, as a matter of fact he played better without Gasol at the beginning of the season. Bynum after Gasol went down was playing like the best center in the league, he was averaging 20 & 10 and like 2 or 3 blocks, then he started to slip when Pau came back.
