Although Kobe is only 32 he's already logged over 45,000 minutes in his career, and although he is still argurably the best player in the NBA, I think he should definitely have his minutes limited this upcoming season. But how many minutes should he play this season ?

    I say around 30 minutes.

We would need for Odom and Artest to step it up if he's to play less minutes, but I doubt kobe will want reduced minutes, he's a fierce competitor, so I expect same as last season.

Yeah, I seriously doubt that he's gonna get his minutes reduced as much as that. I think that the least he's gonna play is about 35MPG.

I disagree, I think Kobe is smart and know he needs to save himself for the postseason.

You realize that 30mins a game is a HUGE reduction? At that rate 18mins will be divided to Sasha, Shannon, or Blake (on top of what those 3 will be playing to spell Fish). I'm not saying that Kobe shouldn't be cutting his minutes down, but we're looking at the upper 30s as the realistic mark. 30mpg is not realistic.

Fine, 33 mpg. 5 minutes down from his mark.

Hopefully with an improved bench Kobe can drop his minutes to 32 or 33 this year. Our bench blew a lot of double digit leads last year and forced PJax to play his starters extended minutes.

Exactly. This is why we should get T-Mac. I don't know about you guys, but whenever Kobe is taken out of the game, I'm holding my breath. With T-Mac, we get a scorer to back him up who can easily play 15 minutes behind Kobe, and then some time behind Artest and even PG. He could easily log a healthy 20-25 minutes a game.

I much prefer T-Mac playing those 15 minutes rather than Shannon Brown. Just saying (Mitch).
