Becoming a full-time hitting coach may take some getting used to for Jeff Bagwell. "This is my first day on the job. I'm not sure about being here at 12 o'clock every day," he said with a laugh. "I have to worry about [13] guys instead of just me." Bagwell assumed duties as the Astros' hitting coach on Friday against the Pirates, the club's first game after the All-Star break. The 15-year Major League veteran was named to the post on Sunday after the Astros relieved Sean Berry of his duties. For Bagwell, the new job presents a new challenge in a career that has overcome many. "The biggest thing for me is, it was time for me to do something," Bagwell said. "There are only certain things that I know how to do in life, and hopefully one of them is hitting, teach hitting and something to do in baseball. And if I'm going to go anywhere to do something, it's going to be with the Houston Astros. "Once my family signed off on it, it was a pretty easy decision." http://houston.astros.mlb.com/news/...12288676&vkey=notebook_hou&fext=.jsp&c_id=hou
