Both the Heat and Spurs have been mentioned as a potential landing spot for Shaquille O'Neal, but Marc Stein dismisses both as unlikely. The Spurs don't often take risks like O'Neal in terms of interfering with chemistry and Pat Riley has already worked with him in Miami. The Mavericks and Hawks are the two teams in the best position to sign O'Neal. http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/17963/shaq-to-spurs-dont-count-on-it
^ Dude he's 38 years old and posted decent numbers last season. (At least for a guy with his much wear and tear.) If he can put up decent numbers as a starter he sure as hell can be a very productive backup to Bynum. If Bynum goes down he can step into the starting center role and keep Lamar on the bench, where in previous years Odom would have to go to the starting lineup when Bynum went down. Shaq off the bench would be the best backup center in the league.
He ain't coming anyways. Shaq dislikes Kobe, and Kobe dislikes him too. His time as a Laker is gone the minute he demanded to be traded.
