Inception - 10/10 Best movie of the year and best movie since The Dark Knight. This might be Nolan's best work to date.
the Following Memento Insomnia Batman Begins The Prestige The Dark Knight Inception I think I'd rate them: TDK, Memento, Inception, BB, Prestige, Insomnia, and I haven't seen the Following.
Great acting, great cinematography, so so plot writing. It's the only project that Nolan has directed that he had no involvement in the writing of the script. It's actually a remake of a Norwegian movie I believe. Give it a look, you might like it. It's Pacino's last great acting in a film, IMO.
I love that list, except i'd probably have the Prestige and Batman Begins higher than Insomnia. Other than that, great order.
Following is great. It's only 70 minutes and you can get it on instant queue on Netflix. I suggest you check it out when you get some time. My Christopher Nolan movie order. Memento Inception Dark Knight Following The Prestige Insomnia Batman Begins
The only reason why I have TDK so high is because I'm a huge Batman nerd. I'm actually going to re-order them after watching Insomnia again. TDK Memento Inception Insomnia Prestige BB
Inception-9/10. Don't even know where to begin with this movie lol. I should probably watch it again. Rachel Getting Married- 6.5/10: moderately interesting. Gets most of its points because I think it was very well written and Anne Hathaway was very good in it. Between the writing and Hathaway's portrayal of the main character they nailed not only the physical imitation of a recovering addict but also the troubles that they and those around them feel. Overall not really that good of a movie but I was impressed by Hathaway and the character development of her character.
Cop Out -- 5/10 -- was supposed to be called "A Couple of Dicks" and I don't know how much else got neutered. A couple of lines of dialogue sounded dubbed like an afternoon movie on television. Rather than an update on 48 Hours or Beverley Hills Cop, its just a shitty, PG-13, generic buddy cop film. Yeah Kevin Smith makes films that are intentionally referential and derivative but whatever, this was no good.
Insomnia- 7/10. Good flick. Wasn't overly impressed by Al Pacino. Its weird how I think Robin Williams is so unfunny when hes really a comedian but I like him in dramatic roles. Not that he does anything special as an actor. Hes just interesting to watch/listen to and comes off being likable.
