<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Marvinmartian @ May 25 2006, 03:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>^So do I.Milgod said "Suns in 6", nothing in that game last night showed me the Suns can win this in 6. 7, maybe, even though I dout it with the Mavs having that game at home, but definately not 6.Heck, I think the Mavs can still win in 6.You can tell that the Suns put everything they had out on the Floor, and the loss of Bell, while not Huge, is big enough to hurt them some too.The Mavs coughed up the game, and while Diaw and Nash played great, the game SHOULD have been won by the Mavs...and I fully expect them to win at least the next 2 games.I felt like the garbage defense played by the Mavs, and inability to get more than 1 bucket, and 2 FT's down the stretch is what allowed the Suns to come back.</div>well you can tell yourself whatever you want. I have said before that the Suns can win anywhere, doesn't matter to them. I can see them winning 2 of the next 4, that doesn't sound too crazy now does it? If the series goes back to Phoenix for a game 6 I don't see Dallas winning. The Suns home crowd is one of the best, especially in clutch games like that would be.

I'm starting to have doubts if Dallas can pull out this series.1. They got to this point by having a great shotblocker of Diop or Dampier that they now can't play a lot of minutes due to the suns style. 2. Dirk and Van Horn is probably just as bad if not worse defensively than the suns frontcourt. Terrible defensively and the suns are just as good offensively if not better.3. Josh Howard sprained his ankle. Don't know how serious this is but a player that works as hard as he does it really takes away his game with these injuries. Also rok if I turned off the game how come I knew what happened with Stackhouse's defense? Letting Diaw get position. Daniels' pass was bad but there was .5 seconds left and it was desperation time. The damage was already done.

Dude, Dirk didn't play horrible defense, though. If Dirk didn't get those 8 offensive rebounds, Dallas would've lost by 15 or something. And Dirk wasn't hitting hitting his jumpers. I don't know why you think Dirk sucks at defense or something. He will play like an MVP tomorrow night. Also, did you see that call that Steve Nash got? Devin Harris was called for a turnover while turning the corner! That was BIASED ALL BECAUSE THAT Motherf*cker NASH IS A f*cking MVP.Dirk will score 50 tomorrow night and F*ck up PHoenix fans.

Ever since Mark Cuban made those stupid comments about San Antonio's riverwalk the refs have been one sided against the mavs. Conspiracy? Cuban should learn not to say stupid stuff like that. Dirk let Nash hit 2 3 pointers since that was the guy Dirk got matched up with somehow.

The won 2 games, including a game 7, IN SA...a much tougher place to play than PHX, which is about where Dallas is, as far as Arenas are concerned. It doesn't sound crazy that the Suns can win 2 of the next 4...I just don't see it happening.Look, even after all the mistakes the Mavs made, and allowing Nash and Diaw to do whatever they wanted, the Suns only won by basically 1, 3 since we fouled with .5 on the clock. The Mavs played with the Suns, and if not for a Meltdown, the Mavs win, playing the Suns style...that doesn't bode well for the Suns. The Mavs lost last night, and while the Suns played great, they can thank a tank job from Dallas for the loss.

This will be a long series. Losing Raja is HUGE. He was important to our D, especially since Nash can't guard a 3 year-old. Now Terry and Harris are free to have some huge games. I'm praying Raja's injury isn't too serious. If he's only out for 3 games I think we tie it up 2-2. If they Suns somwhow get it to 3-2 I do not see them losing at home. I doubt the Mavs win in any less than 7 games because of Game 6 in Phoenix, but they are still my favorite to win, just by a bit. But you all have to admit that this team is something special. With all the injuries and new faces we have on this team we are still winning. We surprised the Mavs in Game 1 and I hope we win this but even if we don't they are still my favorite Arizona team of all time. I love them even more than the '01 D'Backs. They just refuse to lose. Without Amare, without Kurt, we have reached the WCF again. D'Antoni has done a nice job. Hopefully without Raja we can do what we did against the Lakers in the Game 6 everyone thought we would lose. I'm praying for a great performance from Eddie like he did in the regular season. If he gets hot the Mavs can be down by 20 quickly. If we win the next game i'll be so excited, I won't brag because i love yall and am just so thankful but i'll be soooo happy. :happy0144: And the Suns had the lead for most of the game, they were the one's with the little meltdown and then the awesome comeback.Great moments: TT slamming it in Dirk's face. Diaw doing the same. Marion blocking Dirk and Dirk falling on the floor with that funny face.#1 moment of the game has got to be Barbosa spiking the ball in Iavaroni's face though, lol.

It was a great comback, but I'm not sure that the Suns had a meltdown to let Dallas come back originally, it took 3 quarters for Dallas to do that.I think Dallas just didn't execute at all down the stretch...BTW do you guys realize that Dallas and PHX produced 74-72 points, respectively, in the paint....that's just incredible.

Yeah, that's pretty unreal...lol. Without Kurt the Mavs can do it easily and since Damp and Diop can't play our style it's a little easier for us. I hope though with Diaw's great game it can make the Mavs player think more about putting pressure on him and then we get a few open threes. Diaw is very capable of doing something close to that again, it could cause some defensive mistakes by the Mavs and get our 3-point shooting going. Not good but not horrible news I saw on Arizonasportsfans.com:<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>According to 910 in Phoenix. Iavaroni stated that Bell probably has a mild to moderate tear in his calf, and will possibly miss 5-7 days.</div>It won't be as bad if Howard's gone but the Mavs will have a little more of an advantage the whole series.

Avery is driving me crazy once again. Now he's not even giving a chance to Diop. Diop is more active but not as strong as Dampier but I feel he has a better chance in playing this style than Dampier. Diop I think can guard Diaw well and stop all the easy baskets by Nash in the paint.

Even though they lost game 1, the Mavs will win this series. If the Mavericks can beat the Spurs they can definitely beat the Suns. They just have to get used to defending the Suns style of play and for parts of game 1 it looked like they were figuring out the Suns. It will take them a while but once the Mavs figure out how to guard the Suns the series is over. Mavs in 7

Diop should be able to do a better job than Damp because of his energy, but he might be limited by the broken nose/facemask

even after last nights game, i'm still going to go with Mavs in 6. Mavs can do much better than what htey showcased last night. I know Terry is going to rock out soon.

The Suns can also do a lot better. They can't miss lay-ups and not make their 3's for the whole series. The Mavs had good D but there will be a few games were the Suns really light it up... The Suns were crap from the 3 point line, they live and die by the 3, but they just refused to die yesturday I guess. [IMG]

I think the Suns will take it in 6. We are the fastest team in the league, and no one can keep up with our run-and-gun offense. The Suns are also a very good clutch team. If we are down, then we almost always make a supprising come back, such as last night's game when Diaw made that amazing shot, and Raja Bell's buzzer 3-point shot to send the game into double OT against the Clippers.I think the only problem we will have is being out rebounded by the Mavs.

"That helps," he said. "If (Dirk) Nowitzki would get sick, that'd be even better." D'Antoni on Josh Howard's injury. What a wussy comment to make. Yes I hope their best player is sick along with their 2nd best player being out with an ankle injury. In fact I hope the whole team has SARS and we win the series by default. Do I hear Avery praising Raja Bell's injury?

That comment was made to be humorous.

Yeah...I'd think anyone would see that. If D'Antoni wants to win he'd probable want it with the Mavericks at full strength. Did he say that in an interview on TV or did you just read it because I might understand if you read it and mistook what his meaning really was.

Whatever the reason D'antoni gets on my nerves with his cockiness. Though the suns are like that in general. [IMG]

No, I dont think Dantoni was trying to be funny on that quote. Avery never said I wish Nash would get sick. I would rather loose the series with Nash playing than win the series without Nash playing. Very selfish and low for him saying that. He's a sore winner, if that makes since to anyone

lol, what are you talking about? It's SO OBVIOUS that he was just joking. You really want to think badly of D'Antoni if you seriously think that he really meant that. D'Antoni likes to joke in interviews, that's what he does. lol. If it was on TV you could see that it was nothing more than a joke. To think otherwise is just plain dumb. :rolleyes:And how's he being cocky? He's having fun after a very exciting playoff game. It's the WCF, a great place to be and you should enjoy it when you're there.Actually thinking about it, being a Dallas fan and not having heard a D'Antoni interview before, I could easily mistake it as him being serious. But I have seen him, and let me tell you he just likes to have fun. He doesen't have a quiet focused look. He's fun and cool. :lol:This is my 3rd time editing this but if Avery said that about Nash and Raja I'd take it as a compliment to those players and their ability and I'd also know Avery would be messing around. I know D'Antoni was just having fun and he knows how good they are but doesen't want them gone, at least not for the whole series. :shifty2:
