He said it jokingly...you have to be a bonehead to think he was being serious.

It does seem like a couple of Dallas fans here need to lightne up a bit and get a sense of humour.

Mavs fans are getting a little tense, a little scared maybe? [IMG] A little scared that the point guard you let get away from you is going to come back and bite you in the ass for the second striaght year?

It's only one game jkidd, we have no reason to be scared, we lost game 1 to the Spurs and didn't have homecourt. And we turned out fine. And word is Bell is out for the series, while Howard is expected to start along with Van Horn, Dampier going to the bench.

Diop should be starting but it isn't worth fighting about. Dampier is too slow for this type of series. Dampier is great in the half court but can't get back in time. Good news if that is true about Howard starting tonight.

I think Lazy is a pretty funny guy as well and like to think that i'm somewhat funny. lol. You guys would all be on Avery's ass if he had said he wished Nash and Marion were injured.

Not if he said it like that, it was clearly a joke. I really can't see how anyone couldn't see that.

I'm sure he said it as a joke. I'm sure there is some partial truth to it though knowing they would actually have a chance to win the series if it happened.

Yes, it was a joke and if Avery said it I wouldn't be mad. Like I said in my other post, it's more of a compliment than a wish to have him injured.

Must-win game for Dallas today. I think they will blow the Suns out and all the media will be predicting them to just win quickly with Raja injured. The Suns will answer back in Game 3, then Dallas takes back home court and then the rest will depend on injuries. I wonder if Marion is playing tonight.

Hey, I think D'antoni did say that as a joke...an off color joke, that he probably should have thought about saying a different way, but STILL a joke.I do think D'antoni is a little cocky, but that comment didn't make it any worse. You know, about your "Blowing them out, and the media will overhype them" comment. I beg to differ. The Suns won game one, and the media severely overhyped their win...it was a bad loss for Dallas, mainly giving up that big lead in the last 3 minutes, which IS inexcusible, but the fact is, the Mavs DID in fact play the Suns style, and Ran with the Suns, and when all was about to be said and done, they were up 9...and that was playing the same, no defense, up and down style, PHX is known for.I think people expected more of the Mavs, and IF they win this game, the media will say something about it, but they won't be talking about how "Great" a win it was, like they did with the Suns win.I mean the way the analyst were going on, it was as if the Suns had dominated the Mavs, and the Mavs never had a lead, and just looked like they couldn't do anything...and that wasn't EVEN close to the truth.Basically I hate the Media..and that's why I made this long Rant...Mavs, STILL, in 6.

The Suns were leading for most of the game. They made a big deal about the win because it was a surprise and a great comeback. If the Mavs win this game Kenny Smith and Charles will start talking about their greatness, which I don't really mind since it makes the Suns play better.Suns in 6 or 7, Mavs in 7. :)lol, I love Raja, he said he's playing Sunday. [IMG] no tear plz! [IMG]

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Suns in 6 or 7, Mavs in 7.</div>Huh?WTF was that?Going out on a limb with a prediction? And then throwing in an innocent looking smiley face to make it better...please, lol.I think if the Suns win, it'll have to be in 7...the Suns won't beat the Mavs 3 more times in 5 games...maybe in 6, but definately not five.

I think mavs in 7. If Raja is hurt for the series and Howard is ok than Mavs in 6.

Oh the Suns can definetly win in 6. I doubt they will lose their home game when they have a chance at winning it. I doubt it even more if they are down 3-2. If the Mavs win it'll have to be in 7. The Suns, with Raja, will not lose in 6 now. If Raja's gone for the whole series it could screw it up a bit, but I'm happy with all the team has done this season. With all the injuries and new faces it is a great accomplishment to be doing this good and I know next year may be our year if this one isn't.

Next year might be the suns year but Diaw is thriving at center. I don't think he will be as effective at PF with Stoudemire at center. The floor won't be spaced as well. I would almost think Diaw should be the 6th man next year.

I don't think center is where Diaw should be, but it is working. What I was thinking though is that we should get rid of Kurt Thomas and start Diaw. I really love Kurt and think he is great for the team but the Suns really need to get rid of some salaries to keep our young players and Kurt would be the right person. I wish we could keep the whole team, but the salary cap won't allow this team to do that.

The Phoenix Suns have the worst interior defense i've ever seen in my life....but sadly it doesn't even matter. Josh Howard is a MAN.

I know, it wasn't as bad with KT though. I miss him. :(The Suns are playing badly tonight, like they are tired, have no depth and we are not getting calls. The Mavs are playing a very nice game and Avery has made some good adjustments and Howard has been great.I think the scoreboard is broken, but I'm likin it. [IMG]

It hurts to lose this one after being so close, but it was a must-win for the Mavs and they took it. Suns did better than I thought they would without Bell, in Dallas so I am really confident that we can take one at home and then hopefully he returns.
