Really? With only one candidate interviewed? Not only that, I personally think Ferry will soon find out that Vulcan is potentially more meddlesome than Gilbert and back out of the mix. Will the Blazers then make a quick (desperate?) hire in, say, Randy Pfund? I would hope they'd be a bit more calculating than that.
OK, to elaborate, I'm not necessarily calling Pfund, himself, a desperate hire as much as I'm saying, if he's interviewed for the first time and hired within that same week, that - in and of itself - might be considered a hasty decision.
My opinion is that if they don't have someone by the 8th, they will promote Chad Buchanan, or snag an assistant GM like David Griffin from Phoenix.
Is Sam Presti completely out of the mix? I thought I had read that the Knicks were interested in him? If that's the case, then something had to have got out that he's "potentially" available..................right??
Appears the 15th is a fairly good line. According to Quick, Miller expects to have a decision made by the end of next week.
maybe they can have a tv show... an hour long one on ESPN.. raise a lot of money for kids and only give htem less than half of it.. and announce a new GM
