Relax. Their job is to get the hype machine going when no one gives a hoot, and conversely, to lower expectations when they're through the roof. The latter is the current case. It has nothing to do about whether they are "dumbasses" or not.
Probably because he's had 3 sets of management teams now saying the same exact BS but none of them has ever followed through on it at all and this team is still weaker than the Blazers of pre-blowup years. 1 or 2 pieces might get us to the 2nd round, but only if they are an allstar PG and a dominating PF. Steve Nash and Zach Randolph would be wise goals. Our biggest problem seems to still be finding a top guard who Brandon can play with. He's burned through about 7 or 8 so far but it's always something wrong with them. New managers = loss of current vision/plan and a change of direction in player selection and style of play. Prepare to be unimpressed. Again.
Great. The new GM hasn't had time to find his assigned parking space, and Nate is already sending a message "we aren't on the same page!" Happy-happy-joy-joy.
Nate has no input anymore. That's obvious from his coaches being fired out from under him and him being ordered to bring in a nanny (Bickerstaff?) to tell him how to coach. Saying "I don't want trades" is his way of saying "I don't want these particular idiots making any trades and making this team weaker than it already is."
The first thing Cho said was that we need 1 or 2 pieces. The players must all be in tears today. Great start Cho.
