Exactly man. Plus the Blazers need to let players know they will not be pushed around with the new management. Sounds like a great player to make an example out of to me.
If we can't get something for him, the give the bitch what he wants and get him the fuck off this team. I think it would be more detrimental to keep him here to teach him a lesson then it's worth. The Blazers need to look out for what's good for the Blazers. And keeping a pussy like rudy just to punish him will only hurt the Blazers in the long run. First, try to get something for him. But if that fails, we need the roster spot for someone who could actually help the team.
I agree. I also think that it is only fair to Rudy. He did give-up a lot of money in Europe to come to the Blazers. If it does not work - there is just no point in being vindictive. Just release him to Europe and keep his rights, as something that can be thrown in to sweeten a deal.
I don't think it works that way, unless we continue to pay his contract while he plays in Europe. If we release him we no longer hold his rights.
you'd think that there is no link might tip people off, but clearly some just want to get their daily hate on every year we have a new scapegoat with the same sort of irrational bluster... whatever STOMP
How is Rudy a scapegoat? You might have been right about Blake or Outlaw, but neither of those guys ever openly asked for a trade or outright release from the team (although Outlaw wanted out during his rookie year for lack of playing time, just not publicly). This is pretty much a clear cut case of a team cancer and he needs to go.
Sorry NateB but Nothing from "El Mundo Deportivo" is clear cut Cancer? I think Rudy is only a cancer with distraught fans. I'll take B-Roy's opinion over all else:
But really, what would you expect Roy to say? Yeah, I hear Rudy wants out, well, don't let the door hit you on the way out buddy? Of course not.
Maybe it's dry-ice and water...
Dry ice vapors have a tendency to hang around the floor, but this smoke is rising into the sky for everyone to see.
I have no problem with Rudy wanting to go back to Europe. The issue I have, and the issue many around here have, is how Rudy is going about things. He has gone to the press at least a half dozen times now. This is not respectful to the team or the city that opened up its doors to him. It makes the Blazers look like a bad place to go play to other NBA prospects, especially ones from Europe. If he had just kept his mouth shut and then demanded a trade/Europe from behind closed doors, I would have had no problem.
