That is not a good job. I'm fairly certain that KP passed on them ... or they just really liked Demps ... who knows. I'm sure KP will get a shot somewhere sooner or later (maybe not as a full-fledged GM, but at the very least as a head scout or some kind of player personnel guy).

I feel bad for Monty. He boarded a sinking ship.

Smack dab in the middle of a 3rd world country! You should see the 10 block radius around their arena. It looks like the set of RoboCop!

I said it earlier, KP would not accept this job. He is paid this season by the Blazers so there is no need to jump into one of the worst situations in the NBA. He will either find a spot with a good owner / team or he will wait till next season.

Maybe KP wanted to keep CP3 and Shinn said no, so KP said he didn't want the job :)

Yeah, having his first task be trading CP3 to Portland wouldn't really sit well with KP, would it?

KP is the best GM ever, so he obviously could have had this job if he wanted it.

EDIT: sorry, or the NJ job

How can all these owners not see what we loyal Oregonian readers so fervently believe in with all our hearts and souls?

A little OT, but I think the Thunder should reach out to Tom Penn. I don't think they have anyone within the organization that has Cho's cap ability.

My guess is KP takes a job more like the Warriors job, or one that's not available this year. He'll take a job where the owners want a rebuild and have resources. NO isn't an attractive job. Pritchard has the ability to sit out this year, pocket $800K from the Blazers and another couple of hundred thousand from a network. He can then take his time and get the job he wants.

After being canned from his previous job, he needs to select his next job carefully.
