I don't usually have a favourite director, but Christopher Nolan always seems to hit the head of the nail with the hammer.

This is arguably his finest movie ever, and I have to say I am a fan of his. There is no doubt that he's great at what he does. He doesn't try to take projects on just to make a quick buck. He wants to do them, but he actually wants to do them well, and it shows. Inception is going to go down as one of the all-time great movies if you ask me. THAT WAS AWESOME!!!

I'm going to try and see that again, nbut in IMAX this time. (and with a few more friends who didn't haven't seen it yet).

Hats off to the cast as well. They all did a SUPERB job! WHAT A MOVIE!!!

Until Inception came about, I would totally agree on Toy Story. That was definitely the best movie this year.

Saw the movie last night. Movie was great - I was really impressed by the directing job Nolan did. I need to go watch is again to pick up on all the stuff I didn't pick up on the first time.

Sounds like the common response. Everyone wants to go see it again.

I'm sure I'd love it, but I haven't seen it yet. None of my friends want to go and I don't do movies by myself.

It will definitely get a best picture nomination. The academy expanded to ten movies last year to have a bigger variety including the blockbuster. District 9 got a nomination last year for best picture, and I don't put it in the same class as Inception.

So far the only movies I have seen that are really academy worthy are Inception, The Winter's Bones, and possibly Toy Story 3. Oscar season isn't here yet so I'm guessing we're going to get a lot of good ones. Particularly Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu's Biutiful starring Javier Bardem and Sofia Coppola's Somewhere.

You left out Piranhas 3D. I'm sure that movie is going to be huge with the academy.

Am I the only one who wasn't impressed? I give that movie a 5/10.

You're in the minority, but not the only one. The movie is good but far from perfect. Particularly it's skimping on character development early on and it's lack of a great acting performance. As far as plot and originality goes I give it a 10/10.

Yup I give it a 10/10 too. I'd still put Dark Knight ahead of this though.

TDK > Inception > Memento at this point for me.

And though there wasn't one oscar-worthy performance, Ken Watanabe commands the screen every time. Awesome.
