Aren't the Knicks still under the cap? If they are and NOH want to save money they will end up with Paul. They could offer DG and a large TPE and take back a bad contract that would save the Hornets a large sum of money.
But then I'd have to move to NOLA to stalk him and I don't want to uproot my family like that! Seriously though, I think a prime big man is requisite to beat LA and Miami. Just my opinion. If you could get Howard or Lopez I would gladly trade GO for Paul. I also would trade Roy for Paul straight across. Would rather not trade Oden due to the big man factor and the fact that I feel his injuries are flukey.
We could do that by trading LMA to NJN for Favors + TPE. We also can give them mighty savings in our own right. Wouldn't be as fast, but might be more over time or at least equal, plus we would give them value players as well instead of garbage (DG).

They got rid of just about all their cap room by signing Amare+Felton and S&T Lee to the Warriors. If they are still under the cap, it's not by much, maybe 3-4mil.
