I would give up LA before Oden.... Batum, LA and change for Paul & Okafor should be the deal.... Okafor can play PF and better yet is a young guy who can back up at center, if Oden gets hurt again...and then there is also Camby who can play PF\C....That would be a nice 3-man rotation for the bigs with Oden\Camby\Okafor..... Wes Matthews replaces Batum at SF, you have Cunningham still and the rook, Babbitt... The upgrade of LA to CP3 far outweighs the negative of losing him.....Paul becomes the #1, Roy your #2 and Oden your #3...and ODen also becomes your ace in the hole against the Miami Heat, who have a bunch of old bigs on thier last legs, there could be a potentially big advantage for POR there... I would not trade Batum and Oden for Paul...as much as I want POR to get him....I'd hate to see Batum go, but if that is the price to get a Top 5 PG, then you do it......I would try to avoid dealing Oden for CP3 at all costs.... Basically anyone is on the table except for Roy & Oden.....
Ok, my bad a misread on my part. I actually agree with you completely GO + NB is too much to give up. I wouldn't give up GO really or at least I would have to think so damn long and hard about it that CP3 would be traded somewhere else in the interim.
Again, it's not like it's someone directly connected with the team. They're being used by the Hornets to float a trial balloon. We replied by using Wendell Maxey saying that Cho didn't even want to give up Batum. Ah, I love signalling.
You know I honestly think Portland has the best shot of anyone to land CP3. It's crazy I mean it's just crazy, but I have a feeling we might be the bad guys to the Heat's good guys and the bad guys have to win one or two to be taken seriously. You know just like in the original WWF. I'm speaking from a Stern media perspective.
the Blazers are the Stern media bad guys any time they're up against a major market team in the playoffs... Portland = TV ratings loser STOMP
I would like to point out that two of Paul's major injuries have come against the Portland Trail Blazers. He would never have to worry about that again!
Not in 2000 the WCF was one of the highest rated series since Jordan. Again sure we're the bad guys, but I can live with that if the bad guys win once in awhile.
Ha ha. Can't dispute this. Here's hoping that everything injury wise with Portland works in opposites.
On the flip side, we don't have to worry about this again: http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=7gqBIzejf5Q
