I am just saying if there is a report that we would not give up Batum for Paul, I would not be happy. Not saying there will be one or this rumors is even true, no one knows. I of course, am not high on Batum like others are here, just don't see his "great" potential. I would trade Batum for someone like Parker IF Parker had more years on his contract or would agree to an extension. I know most would disagree with me on that, but I just don't view Batum as others do.
I found this from a guy on another forum so credit to him for finding it. That is somewhat good for us. Link:http://www.wdsu.com/offsidesblog/index.html
True. But as I pointed out earlier, Orlando and the Mavs don't have a lot of expiring contract to trade. Orlando, because everybody still there has a contract for a while, and Dallas because because they traded Dampier who was their big expiring contract. I have to believe N.O. wants some talent back. They just want it to be cheap.
One difference: Joel's contract is 80% covered by insurance. That saves the Hornets 5 million bucks out of pocket (roughly)
Right but then you are suggesting that the Magic would go forward, planning to contend this year with Reddick as their starting SG. I am not so sure they would dig that idea. They still feel they are contenders. Unless you think Paul and Jameer Nelson make a good back court, which I doubt. If it had to work IMO, it would have to be a 3 way. New Orleans got rid of Tyson Chandler for a reason before. I don't see why they bring him back now.
It was at the time to save money. Remember when they traded him to OKC for next to nothing, however, he failed his physical? Now that he is expiring, he has some worth to them, but Dallas has no young pieces except Roddy, but since they have Collison that is a no go.
You don't think they would offer Vince Jameer Gortat Anderson That was one of the deals their fans were offering. Or something similar for PAUL? What would Orlando rather have? Paul or Carter? Paul and Howard is a pretty devastating duo. And Chandler, he's an expiring. That's all there is to it. If they want to cut salary....Chandler is expiring.
I don't see why NO would want that. They're trying to rebuild, and those are all bench pieces on a contending team besides Nelson, and they already have Collison.
No, in an interview 2 days ago, he said Greg should be good for training camp and Pryz a little later.
