Barnes isn't much of a defender. Hes above average but really nothing that special. His value comes in being a tough, instigative SOB. Rebounds well, shoots better than his 3 pt % last year would suggest, better ball handler and passer than you might think. Hes good at getting under people's skin though and he'll lay guys out in the paint. He doesn't back down and even goes out of his way to start fights and he has no fear of anyone.
