For any first-round pick, both his chances at starting and the negotiations on his rookie deal are important considerations. Such is the case for Denver Broncos first-rounder Tim Tebow, whose role as part of the "Wild Horse" scheme has been discussed this week. But will Tebow make it to Broncos camp by next Wednesday, when rookies report for their first practice? Mike Klis of the Denver Post isn't so certain. There are two things that will help get Tebow signed. First, the pick just above him, Dez Bryant, agreed to his rookie deal on Thursday night, which will help in slotting Tebow at the right value. Second, the Broncos put the finishing touches on a new deal for Elvis Dumervil on Thursday as well, lifting a heavy burden off of Broncos management. It doesn't seem as thought anything's imminent, but both of those factors may help move the process along. - Tim Kavanagh
With Bryant signed, he's pretty much slotted. He'll get a quarterback premium (more than likely, more potential money than Bryant's deal) obviously, but the slot's pretty much set.
