Former WEC champ Urijah Faber's future, including a recently scratched bout with Takeya Mizugaki that still could place in the following months, is still up in the air. That's according to sources close to the fighter, who told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that nothing has been decided as far as a return date or opponent. Faber (23-4 MMA, 8-3 WEC), one of the WEC's biggest stars, was slated to make his bantamweight debut and fight Mizugaki (13-4-2 MMA, 2-2 WEC) at next month's WEC 50 event. But "The California Kid" was forced off the card in June due to an injury. Earlier today MMARising.com reported that Faber vs. Mizugaki is tentatively slated for an unannounced November event, potentially WEC 52 or WEC 53, and that it could take place in Faber's hometown of Sacramento, Calif. And while that remains a possibility, a source said that a "return date, venue and opponent" have not been decided for Faber.
