Very interesting ... Edit: Dicovery69 is usually pretty good on this stuff (or at least his sources are).
if we could get Randolph for Pendergraph and Rudy I would love Cho! But I would hope Randolph could be used as further enticement for NOLA.
lol yes it is. If a player of his caliber is even remotely available.. you put the full court press on that team!
Agreed. The difficulty is using that slot to find a PG available. initial thought was to N.O. for Collison and Posey. But, I can't imagine Paul being happy about 3 days later, them dumping Collison to save salary. Conley is an obvious mention, just because he's always mentioned. here was another post: Rudy and Joel combined, plus the 125% can net 10.8 back in trade. Wouldn't be all that thrilled with Calderon or Udrih on those lists. Highly doubt Jrue is traded. Maynor is kind of meh. You can add in slightly more salary(Cunningham or Pendergraph) and if they were strictly looking to dump salary, can get Monta back.
The nice thing about this plan (pick and trade exception) is it gives them a lot of flexibility for working with more teams. Holiday is obviously the most interesting on that list, but I have a hard time seeing that work out. If they turn Rudy in to a young PG, then I guess that means they don't have much confidence in CP3 working out. If they end up keeping Miller, and get a pick and exception for Rudy, I wouldn't mind seeing them use it for a better backup 4/5. I think we have enough backups for the PG spot, but get nervous about what happens if one of Oden, Joel or Camby goes down (especially with two of the three not ready to play yet).
Let me see if I get this. A thread is started entitled, "Possible 3 Way". Now I'm thinking that this is gonna be way off topic. Then you suggest "Discovery 69". Now I know this is an off topic thread.
I can't see getting Randolph for so little but if it happens...yay! It's CP3's world, we're just living in it.
How do we know the pick isn't sweetener in a CP3 deal? Especially if we also pick up Sheed. Immediate relief + Picks, that sounds like what NOH craves. Just imagine this in two trades with picks and cash going to NOH. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=29he4me
Prior to free agency, when they maybe could have signed someone, that might have been possible. But now, why would NJ give up Harris for cap space?
Why go for the moderate upgrade in Harris. You give up offensive brilliance of Miller for defense from Harris which isn't even a certainty given his performance and injuries last year.
Here is what I am looking at. If we send Joel out in order to get Rasheeds expiring contract back, is that because the team we want to deal with wants salary cap relief now, rather than when Joel's contract ends? Otherwise, why include Joel in the deal?
