Time is but an illusion grasshopper. Rudy was never here, and he will always be here. Take comfort in this.
A blazer trade will go down on Saturday.....but it won't include Rudy. That trade will happen on Tuesday. No link.... LOL
I think A trade might go down on Friday, but it won't be Rudy.....unless he is included in a bigger deal.
Adam Bjaranson from KGW states that a possible trade will happen next week. http://www.kgw.com/sports/Rudy-seeks-trade-Blazers-look-to-accommodate-99517134.html
Well since Cho is flying to Vegas to talk this over with Nate and the rest of the staff on Sunday I'd say it's somewhat likely to be after Friday ... a better over/under might have been Monday.
That was the original plan, but Paul Allen is on the phone all the time to Larry Miller - so he has to go in person.
Don't you think Cho is maybe employing some tactics here? Maybe he wants to see if the Knicks or Bulls will up the ante in the next couple of days and outbid the Celtics. I think the Blazers would like to get a hold of either Gibson or Randolph over any garbage the Celtics have to offer (which supposedly is a future lottery protected first rounder).
Rudy is simply not going to be traded any time soon. Not next Monday, a week from this Friday or even next month. They are going to wait to trade him until no team requires his services thereby reducing his trade value to nil. It's already started happening with Shannon Brown getting an offer from the Knicks and Von Wafer going to the Celtics. This notion that they are not just going to "give away a player of Rudy's caliber" is going to get in the way of him being dealt. Last years playoffs showed teams what caliber of player Rudy is. That would be Barely NBA Quality.
Sounds like they are going about it correctly then. No need to rush just to make Rudy happy, and if we can't get anything that helps us, then we can always resort to Releasing him. But it won't come to that. I see no reason to take crap back.
