    The headline for the season-ticket push was just a one-day campaign, not a continuing theme and not intended to slam the players who departed via free agency or trade. The Jazz do understand what sells in this market, though. Long after the days of Karl Malone and John Stockton, there's still strong appreciation around here for effort, consistency, determination and, yes, toughness.

    Bell, a past-and-present Jazzman, is known for a defensive style that has ruffled the Lakers' Kobe Bryant, among others. Jefferson at least looks like a center is supposed to, and his 26-rebound game with Minnesota speaks well of his willingness to work."
