You could definitely be correct. I might be thinking too much of the value fans of GS/NY put on Randolph, and not their management. Felton/Rudy/Gallo/Amare/Joel is....well, still crap. But NY will love it. Haha.

As for the deal, I'd like it. Collison, and Turiaf are instant inserts into the rotation, with Randolph hopefully stealing time from bth Turiaf AND Camby, and hopefully, Camby mentoring him. Posey could be a decent option behind Batum and Matthews, and if we had an injury, can fill in ok.

I thought of that too. needs to be a three-way and a follow up.

    PRYZ for Rondo Straight Up!

Seriously though we better get some serious value if we do trade Joel, Randolph does fit the bill

Whaaa? Look, unless we know we can get CP3 and Joel's contract is a critical piece, I'm not sure you can find a better deal then what Nik proposed. We get a nice young talent 4 (5 in a pinch) for an expiring and Rudy. Also Turiaf is a nice vet in his own right. I for one would rather have a pile of bigs who rot on the bench then last years nightmare again. Also Randolphy might be a piece that NOH covets for CP3.

I guess it would all boil down to highly New York values Rudy. if they just believe he had a down year and was badly misused in a slow, half-court offense I could see it happening -- tough to say. I mostly put him in the deal because New York is in the mix and because Discovery69 at clubblazers.com mentioned that Cho is asking for Randolph and that the Knicks are considering it.

    EDIT:
If it would make a difference to New York (especially a Euro happy coach like D'Antoni) I'd throw in the rights to Claver, Freeland, Koponen or any other player they wanted if it meant making the deal or not.

Maybe I'm slow, did you mean to write "doesn't?" If it isn't a typo then I agree, if it was a typo then you're batshit crazy.

Nah, his wife is making him move back to town. He's as p-whipped as they come. He'll behave.

I meant what I wrote. He Does fit the bill. I guess my post had a confusing tone.

J-Pryz is a pretty valuable commodity, unlike a-lot of peeps I think he'll come back to health and I think he could be traded almost straight across for Randolph considering his contract is expiring

    P'Whipped or Dedicated Family Man.

You be the judge. Oh right, you already have judged.

Yeah the tone was a bit confusing.

As for Przy being a valuable commodity, he might be a better asset for a cash strapped team looking for an expiring contract than he is as an actual rotation player, in that context I'm not sure the Knicks need him; the only way they'd probably want him is if he's close to being able to contribute (which is pretty fuzzy right now).

Fuzzy Yes, but he strikes me as one of the hardest working players around and if anyone can come back from this crazy injury its him

I'm going with "we can't even get close to fair value for his house, so we as well move back to Portland since we're paying for it anyhow."

    How about this one?

We end up with Turiaf, Collison, and Posey

and we give up Rudy, Bayless, and Pryzbilla

    Miller/Collison
    Roy/Mathews
    Batum/Posey
    Aldridge/Turiaf
    Oden/Camby

With a few for Cunningham (thinking at the expense of Posey or if there's an injury to the front 4, which there will be). The defense of that second unit would be straight filthy.

But why would the Knicks trade Azubuike who they just signed to a free agent contract and is already a better shooter than Rudy has proved himself to be? The Knicks would want Rudy to add another shooter to their stable, not to swap one out.

I think 2 and 3 are the answer, with a dash of 1 which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Plus, I don't consider living in an $8 million home that you can't sell as being a "miser". I think it's practical, given the cirumstances.
