We currently have three senior centrebacks. One of them is proven, one of them is unknown, and the other one is injury-prone. Technically, that means we need three more centrebacks but that isn't a reality in Wenger's eyes. That means we will be sweating if only one centreback is injured and that's almost a given being at Arsenal. We have been linked with a bunch of centrebacks and I look forward to seeing who Wenger picks up. Two including the new boy? Curious to see how this plays out. Pretty certain we won't be getting another starter.
I don't know yet. I just get the feeling Wenger is looking for another centreback that will work next to Vermaelen. We've been linked with some high-profile players recently which makes me think Wenger is looking elsewhere for another starting centreback.
