Do you think Nash can pull of a third straight MVP next year? With Amare coming back it definitely sounds possible, the way he runs the Suns offense is incredible.
Twice in a row is bad enough, I believe that next year there will be more deserving players. I'd even rather see Dirk get it than Nash for the 3rd straight. But Amare is coming back, it's going to be deadly.
No. He's can still make top 5 with votes. But there are more players out there than can take it from him. Not much elce to say
Lets say he gets the Suns to a 60 win season, I know LeBron is definitely going to be on top of MVP voting along with Kobe also but you can never count out Nash.
I HIGHLY doubt it, but it's VERY possible if Amare comes back full strength, Marion is still a 20 and 10 guy, and the other Suns are still great players.Nash would need to get a 20 and 10 season, and a 60 win season, which is very unlikley.
The 20 points may seem unlikely with all the weapons around him but 10 assists is never a problem for him.If Amare come back as expected then I don't see winning anything less then 55 games so 60 isn't much of a reach.
Pssh. With Amare he won't be the MVP, not anymore. it happened in 05, but i doubt it this year. Not with Dirk, LeBron, Kobe, and Flash. 3 in a row? Not a guard. not a point guard. not steve nash.
That would be nuts if another player on the Suns came back and won it. Like Amare comes back, averages 30 and 12 and wins it lol. I HIGHLY doubt that too, but it would be cool. 3 years in a row a Sun wins it.I'm getting to far ahead of myself.
Only three players in NBA History have ever won three straight MVP awards:Bill Russel 1960-1963Wilt Chamberlain 1965-1968Larry Bird 1983-1986Others have come close...Nash definitely won't do it, even with Amare back. There will be too many deserving candidates next year, and I think the voters will look to vote for somebody else as the MVP.
2 straight is bad enough. 3 in a row is an outrage. He shouldnt even be mentioned with Bill Russell, Larry Bird, and Wilt. Let alone he's already in the same mentioning as guys who've won it twice in a row
Well if he deserves the award who cares if it's for a 3rd time? I think he definatly has a good chance, it all depends on LeBron James. If he has another amazing season I think voters turn his way.
He won'tThe reason he won the MVPs were because in his first year, he improved the Suns winnings by 40 games or so, and in his second year without Amare he still helped the Suns to 50+ wins.Next year, Amare or not, he won't be able to meet expectations again

The only way I see him winning it for the third year in a row is if he leads the Suns to the best record in the league and has them high 60 wins or higher.
No. It just gets out of hand when Steve Nash wins it 3 times in a row. He is not in that category. Not even close to it. He only plays on one side of the court. It is over for him as MVP I think. They will give it to someone new, probably Lebron James.
