Out of the all the teams the one with the worst record will have the most chances to get the pick but it isn't guaranteed they will.Should they change it to the NFL where the team that wins the championship gets the last pick and so on?A number 1 pick can make a big difference rather then a 3-5, LeBron for example.

But then, if they were tied for last in the league with about 10 games left, all they will do is try to lose. And games wouldnt be fun to watch anymore. The NBA will lose business and fans.

I don't think any team will honestly sink to the level of losing there last 10 games.

Heatfan makes a good point. But to many teams would pull a Houston Texans. I dont see that being fair, Asian is right...teams would throw gamesIts not a problem how it is right now, so no need to change it

It's fine the way it is... the reason Stern implemented it was because there were numerous accusations that teams were trying to lose on purpose to get the #1 pick, and thus the integrity of the game was beginning to be questioned. The lottery only determines the picking order of the top three teams... the remaining 11 teams in the lottery are ranked according to their record... and the other 16 teams are also ranked according to their record. There were certain years where I questioned whether the lottery was rigged.

I like the lottery it makes it much more exciting than just having the worst records get the best picks. Although if you are a fan of a bad team then you would be bumming if you dropped way down.

But even if they did they would probobly choose another forward, so I'm kinda used to the bad luck now. :happy0144:

I thinkt he whole reason that they made the draft lottery was because teams were puposely losing. It seems stupid, but it has happened

I think that the last place team needs a better shot at the number one pick. Not too many of the last place teams get the top pick. It stinks for Hawks fans, but gives greater hope to the fourth worst teams.

Nemesis, all sports national orginizations aim to please their fans. This makes things interesting, gives more of a chance for surprises like we got now.

The lottery is better, it is more exciting and brings attention to the NBA. It is the best way to have the draft(unless of course ur the worst team in the league [IMG] )

It happens every year. The Bucks went from like 11th to the 1st pick last year, it just happens.
